English 101

Welcome to the class page for English 101. Please make sure you check this site daily in order to access class agendas, homework calendars, notes, and other pertinent resources.

This course is designed to teach writing skills necessary for success in college. It is required for students intending to continue in a college baccalaureate program. Special emphasis is placed upon summary writing, exposition, and argumentation. Students will read and evaluate various forms of writing, as designated by the Joliet Junior College curriculum. Students are required to complete critical analyses, research pieces, and position papers. Space in this course is limited and will be contingent on timely completion of prerequisites.
